Blue Marble Language Academy is an innovative school in Los Angeles that is looking for bright, enthusiastic, talented Mandarin teachers. We work towards developing a strong image of the child in a Mandarin immersion setting. The guiding principle behind Blue Marble Language Academy’s program is to support the growth of our young children in an engaging process. This approach allows children to investigate and create meanings through play, understand that all learning is connected, and experience every event as an opportunity to gain a new and exciting understanding of the world, which looks like a blue marble from outer space.
Our children have opportunities to learn math through music, acquire language through art, develop their abilities to relate to one another through play, and solve problems together during snack time. At Blue Marble Language Academy, teachers are students, students are teachers, and parents are partners in a collective learning environment.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- Minimum of 12 semester hours of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- At least 3 months teaching experience with preschool or early elementary school age children in the U.S.
- Fluent in either Mandarin or Spanish, and English
- Experience with dance, yoga, art, music, or creative classes that you could share with students
- Position is Optional Practical Training (OPT) eligible for valid F-1 visa holders and sponsorship of H-1 visa
Duties:
- Work collaboratively with program director to provide regular feedback and modeling, while implementing classroom practices and curriculum that are consistent with best practices for preschool through elementary school children.
- Comfort with and awareness of new teaching methods and technologies
- Use Mandarin / Spanish to interact with and provide instruction to children in the classroom in order to assist children in becoming proficient in Mandarin and/or Spanish languages.
- Communicate regularly, clearly and positively with a diverse student/parent community and strongly encourage and motivate their participation.
- Contribute to a joyful environment with a positive attitude, words and tone.
- Maintain a safe, healthy and inspiring learning environment for children.
