Kindergarten Preparatory Classes

Age-appropriate progressive, fun, language immersion programs to prepare 4 to 5 years old children for kindergarten.

Our Kindergarten Prep classes expand upon our Parent 'n Me preschool readiness programs and continue to incorporate songs, art, creative play, and story time, while teaching children additional skills in their target language (family, shapes, colors, numbers to 100, reading and writing sight words or characters, and an increasing level of vocabulary for daily interaction). A special emphasis is placed on teaching children basic manners, how to share and interact with their peers, and encouraging an increasing level of self-sufficiency with daily tasks. We have found that children who participate in a quality language immersion Pre-K program take great pride and have more fun when they later transition to a language immersion elementary school. We strive to provide one of the all-around best kindergarten prep programs as our primary objective, yet do so in an environment that also fosters target language development. Children at this level must learn to separate from their parents and care takers, and the downstairs coffee shop provides a comfortable place for parents to relax and socialize, or fit in a bit of work, during class time.
